Set 10: Plain Texture Series - Aquamarines

I was having connection/LJ login problems on top of being really busy for an entire week...which made me feel like I haven't updated in ages even though it hasn't been that long. Pathetic withdrawal, much? ._.

Anyhow! ^^; This set sort of brings things back to the basics and is a little like my Color Imprints set...though ah, it's looking rather boring next to my recent sets doesn't it? It has its perks though! Due to its simplicity, it can be used on all sorts of styles so do give them a try. :) And yes, these are mainly in aquamarines because I like things in a neat set (and I'm currently obsessed with the color)...but if it looks like there's enough interest, I'd probably put up other additional colors I'm working on. :D

Tutorial Pimp: [info]_toxication wrote a wonderful tutorial using a texture from my texture bases series (Set 04). It's really great for those who are stumped about how to use the bases. Do check it out! :)

Set 07: Plain Texture Series - Color Imprints

And I think I'm back, provided nothing goes wrong. :p I spent the last few days just making some changes before I finally disabled hotlinking earlier today. Thank you for being patient with me throughout all this! As of now, everything should appear as normal and be like it's always been- so if any of you notice something not downloading, random broken images, or an anti-hotlinking picture popping up either here, through your friends page, through one of my community posts, etc...then please let me know. Thank you!

That said, I do have something to share today. It feels rather good to be able to post something in peace after a week of stress. ^^; These are plain textures that are more simple and also geared towards color effects- came about from some people asking me about the coloring on a few of my icons. I also feel compelled to add that the textures themselves look better than they do on the preview so I hope you'll give it a try. ^^;

Tutorial Pimp: [info]babbled wrote a lovely tutorial for a Kiki icon here that used one of my color sparkle textures. I thought her approach with my light textures and use of Linear Dodge was rather interesting. Yay for tuts! :D

Set 06: Plain Texture Series - Florals

Hi all! :) More plain textures again- though this time, I'm not entirely sure if they could be called that. I'm not even sure if people would be interested in this kind of look either. ^^; The theme for this set is florals, and they're done against simple beige-toned backgrounds as I thought it would be easier to work with. On a random note, this set was inspired by a current fashion design job that I'm working on for a client...and resources used to create these texures are from myself. And you already know that I always hope you'll like them! :)

ETA: Also, a tutorial pimp! Take a look at this awesome tutorial by [info]myrasis that used one of my textures from Set 03's Texture Bases Series. Even if you don't care for tutorials, you should at the very least, go look at the lovely icon and the original Draco image. :3

Announcements, Pimps, Questions, Updates...

An accumulative post of...various stuff that I've been meaning to say, do, ask, and pimp. ^^; I'm beginning to think that I don't know how to make short posts where I don't spew some random thing or another. =_= And knowing me, I'm probably even forgetting something. Yes, I talk too much. :p

The say, do, and ask. The pimp's outside the cut. xD )

All that said, today's tutorial pimpage goes to [info]slayra and her awesome tutorial that used one of my plain textures from the lace and patterns set. Take a look at her tutorial here! :D
